SPIRITUALLY LOST Statistics used for numbers of “spiritually lost” in each region are rough estimates rounded to the nearest 10 million. Their purpose is simply to give perspective regarding the unfinished task of world evangelization. The term "spiritually lost" refers both to people who have never heard the message of Christ and those who have heard but not yet received Him as Savior. We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:10). The “spiritually lost” are all who have not experienced a spiritual rebirth through Christ’s death and resurrection. Many non-evangelicals have believed in Jesus Christ for salvation, experienced regeneration, and enjoy a personal, life-changing relationship with Him. Conversely, people may be classified as “evangelical” or “Pentecostal” in name but have not experienced personal salvation.
